I made a quick trip to Dollar General and CVS yesterday and scored!
On the left you will see 8 deo’s for FREE. I only paid .56 cents oop.
On the right you will see CVS where I had a $10 CVS Cash Card and ECBs. OOP $3.58
Couponing is a great way to save money and stock up on items that you will need!
I always say buy now what you don’t need while it’s free or cheap and then you will have it later when you do need it!

Also used a CVS coupon for $5/$25 bringing oop down even more.

Yes, I already do that some, but what I want to do for you is tell you where I went, what I got, what coupons I used and my total out of pocket expense. That way you can duplicate exactly what I did.
I stopped by CVS tonight to get some valentine’s specials and ended up getting so much more, but so glad that I did!
Here is what I got:
3 Dunkin Hines Chocolate Chip cookie mix ($10/10 sale) used 3 $1/1 q’s = FREE
2 Dunkin Hines Brownie mix ($10/10 sale) used 2 $1/1 q’s = FREE
5 Emerald nuts ($10/10 sale) used 5 $1/1 q’s = FREE
3 single serve Lucky Charms ($10/10 sale) used $1/3 = .66 ea
3 single serve Cinnaman Toast Crunch ($10/10 sale) used $1/3 q = .66 ea

I had a $5/$25 CVS coupon that I used along with a 20% off entire purchase along with the coupons above bringing my total down by $11.98.

Saved 66% overall… not to bad for just stopping in for some Valentine treats.
Gonna try to be there early before church tomorrow for the Xtra deal!

I did go over my $30 challenge, but with hubby calling me telling me take advantage of the pepsi product deal.. and the meal deal one more time… I went over. BUT… I still saved alot of money! This is what I bought and how I did it!
Total Retail $150.33 OOP $63.07 Saved 65% overall! For me at Food Lion (whom does not double coupons… That is good! )
2 Boxes of Lipton Family Tea bags on sale for $1.99 used .50/1 Q for each
5 boxes of General Mills Cereals (FL promo buy 4 boxes at 2/$5 and get $4 off order)
used 1 $2.00 off 5 boxes (FL coupon)
6 bags of Knorr Pasta on sale for 10/$10 used 3 .50/2 coupons
1 Maxwell House coffee on sale for $4.29 used 1 .50/1 coupon (almost out of java!!)
3 Jars of Ragu Pasta Sauce on sale 3/$5 used 1 .75/3 coupon
5 24 pack Pepsi Products on sale 5/$13
2 packs of Holly Farm Drumsticks (marked down to $1.80 per pack)
2 Red Baron Pizza’s on sale for $5.99 used 2 $1/1 coupons
(this was the meal deal, got otis spunkmeyer cookie
dough, Texas Toast, and a TGI Friday appetizer

1 9 lives cat food no coupon and not on sale.. had to have it.
2 2packs of Caress bar soap on sale for 1.99 used 2 .75/1 coupons
3 Dove 6 packs of bar soap on sale for $5.99 used 3 .75/1 coupons
2 Degree Deodorants on sale 2/$4 used 1 $/1 coupon
2 Suave Shampoo’s on sale for .99 cent’s used 1 $1/2 coupon
2 Suave Conditioner’s on sale for .99 cent’s used 1 $1/2 coupon
I also recieved a $10 off of my order for purchasing $35 worth of Unilever Products as well as $4 off of my order for purchasing 4 of the General Mills cereals. This helped to bring my total down by $14 dollars just by taking advantage of the store deals. Also had a $1 FL coupon off of my next order so right there is $15 dollars in free money to apply to my order.
So with all of that posted and said… I want you to know you can save money at Food Lion even though they don’t double. Now.. if you can save 65% at a store that does not double,, imagine what you can do at a store that does!!!!

Ok~~ for my Lowe’s food’s $30 challenge for myself today… well.. I went over.. just a little.. $10 bucks!!! BUT, the deals on fresh meats were so good.. that I grabbed a couple of extra things…
Overall I saved about 65% with a $2.50 CAT OYNO. And a coupon for the cat food that I use. So I was pretty please. Retail $ 115.42 OOP $ 40.30 65% saved. Which is pretty good at Lowe’s food’s for me.
